Jacques Senang               Arshad R.         Samuez

Meet our people at the sound department.

From now, these residents can be booked via our website or email (bookings@strafcollective.online.)

Gathering on and around Amsterdam’s vibrant dancefloors, a shared urgency to redefine electronic music, shape its dancefloors and contribute towards its scene was felt amongst these residents of Straf Collective.

Jacques:  “A damp room, filled with free, dancing, red silhouettes feels like the place I belong.”

Exploring diverse soundscapes together, As more and more ideas were shared, gathered and considered, their vision towards an own contribution was shaped into this department at Straf.

A rise of resistance was felt.

Their collective need to express throughout their sound grew.

A genuine connection was formed over time.

Now, after securing their home base at the sound studio of De Fik in ACTA, they gather their thoughts, practise their craft behind the decks and look towards their future in the Amsterdam music industry.

Looking ahead, they plan on leaving their mark in style.

After both premiering their new radio shows, Samuez and Jacques began showcasing their style, sound and synergy behind the decks. Inviting guests, expanding their music collection and finding rhythms.

With Samuez starting their monthly show at AMW, titled ‘b2b’ and Jacques starting their weekly show titled ‘Jacquerie’ at Slim Radio, they secured a space to create.

Now they're producing their first party, planned in Februari.  They aim to reclaim safety and sensitivity at their events, amongst all. Especially now, they feel there is an increasingly deep need for tenderness and connection.

Arshad: ‘’As a DJ, I thrive on the energy of a party where it's not just about my sound and skills behind the decks, but about the energy as people forge connections through the music. It's a journey where the dance floor becomes a sanctuary, freeing everyone from their worries, and allowing them to unleash their inner selves through movement’’.
